Landline Call Completion Issue

ATTENTION BCI PHONE CUSTOMERS:

The local call completion issue has been resolved. We have confirmed calls from BCI landline phones to local Verizon Wireless numbers are completing normally. Unfortunately, we have not received a final report from our local upstream provider outlying the cause of the trouble and the steps taken to resolve the issue, but we do know the the trouble had nothing to do with BCI’s internal equipment and/or network configurations. We appreciate our customer’s patience and apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused.

A local call completion issue has been identified and is currently under investigation. The issue is affecting multiple landline phone providers, not just BCI. When calling from a landline phone to a local Verizon Wireless number, the call is not completing; the caller will hear a fast busy tone or dead air. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and we are all hands on deck working to resolve this issue with the upstream provider who is responsible for the transmittal of this call type.
