IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BCI CABLE TV SUBSCRIBERS

In recent years, an ever increasing number of American households have shifted away from cable TV services to streaming TV services. After careful consideration, our company has decided to sunset its cable TV services, using a stepped approach. 

These business decisions are not taken lightly. There are multiple factors taken into consideration when making these decisions. BCI has always prided itself on being an affordable communications provider. However, due to the industry rapidly shifting away from cable TV services, BCI continues to see annual programming costs rise year-over-year at a minimum rate of 10-15%.  Local broadcast networks, major television networks, and regional sports programmers have increased their monthly subscriber fees, driving higher rates for our video subscribers.

Beginning February 28, 2025, BCI will no longer offer or install new cable TV services.  All active BCI cable TV subscribers will be grandfathered into their cable TV services, but only at their current service address and only until January 31, 2026.*  For most customers, this change will reduce your overall monthly expenses.

Our stepped approach timeline is as follows: 

February 2025-All existing cable TV subscribers will receive written notification by 2/28/2025.

June 2025 through December 2025-BCI will host multiple on-site events centered around alternative TV service solutions; Specific dates, times and locations are TBD.

January 31, 2026-BCI will discontinue cable TV services.

We cannot stress enough how committed our team is to making this transition as seamless as possible.  

It is important to note, because the discontinuation of cable TV service is not until January 31, 2026, no immediate action is necessary, however, our team is ready and available to answer questions you may have.
